REGISTRATION

Introduction

The University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) has been involved in various initiatives that aim at developing the innovative and entrepreneurial mindset of students as well as motivating them to start their own businesses before or after graduation. With consideration of the increasing unemployment rate among the youth in the country, UDSM is encouraging continuing students to see self-employment as a viable career option. Therefore, while continuing with their studies, the focus should not only be skewed toward the attainment of high academic performance but also on actively participating in extracurricular activities that nurture them to be able to turn the challenges facing local communities into business ideas.

Eligibility

UD-AIEC 2024 is open to ALL continuing students from UDSM, this includes all undergraduate, graduate, and PhD programs. Students from outside UDSM are not eligible to compete.
The students must form a multidisplinaryteams that consist of two to six members coming from across different schools, colleges and/or constituents. Projects with only one participant shall not be accepted.
Each team must consist of at least one student from either first year or second year.
Inclusiveness in teams is highly encouraged (e.g., gender, people with disabilities etc.).
A participant shall not apply as a Team Lead in more than one application.
A participant shall not apply in more than two Challenge tracks.
